Dedebit Saving and Credit Institution (DECSI) Opens New Sub Branch in Mekelle City

On 29 August 2023, DECSI opened new sub branch in Mekelle city a place commonly known as “EkramAdiha” area. The site is essential to serve as a juncture to the people coming from different directions. And it is easily accessible to the local communities and business owners reside nearby.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Mulugeta Birhane General Manager of DECSI said that DECSI is public financial institution which provides saving and credit serves to the people in a modern way. DECSI is now connecting many branches and sub branches into one system that enables to foster its financial services in a latest manner. He added that we trust the people and hope the people also trust our financial service as well.

Including to this newly opened sub branch (called Hidase), DECSI has a total of 25 branches and sub branches in Mekelle city only. Having many branches and sub branches in big and populated cities like Mekelle is advantageous to attract new customers. Moreover, it will be helpful in achieving DECSI’s mission so as to be regional financial hub amid the Tigray people.

According to Mr. Gebrelibanos Mebrahtu, the Mekelle branches coordinator, another sub branches will be opened in Mekelle city in the coming days.

During the opening event DECSI staff and leadership, local community representatives, clients, religious and community leaders were participated.
