Engineering department is the department established by our company in the new structure under the Vice CEO of the Cooperate Service. In this department, there are divisions and sub divisions i.e. Head, division engineers, building engineers, building administrations, and electrical engineers.
The role of engineering department is to solve the technical problems of the institution by establish administrative policies, procedures and standards and also to identify the major and minor causes of DECSI buildings and the key responsibilities of this department is that:
- Direct and coordinate all the activity of the technical works, quality Assurance, and maintain all the DECSI buildings;
- Discuss and lay out project specifications, create designs, and planes;
- Develop cost estimation of the institution;
- Prepared collateral estimation;
- Analyze the construction market demand and available resources to the institution;
- To prepared check list for site supervision;
- Review construction projects, plans, specifications, and comments on the building designs, scheduling, possible cost savings, measures and the construction problems;
- To give technical service to branches, and other department of the institution;
- Prepared bill of quantity, standard bid of documents to the institution;
- To advice the CEO, Vice CEO as well as the various departments /division/ branch managers of the institution on engineering service matters, policies, regulation and related activities;
- Conduct periodic follow up on consultants and contracts based on obligations of the contract and takes necessary action;
- Review all payment issue from contractors or consultants and present to the CEO for approval;
- Ensure the organization and proper handling of the engineering records;
- Prepared construction manuals and other necessary standards;
- To solve the power problems of the institution like shortage of electrical problems;
- Prepare and submits periodic reports.
